Jessie Donaghy, co-owner and director of Burlesquercise Inc, has been dancing since the age of eight. With a professional dance teacher for a mother (Miss Kim), her love for movement was sparked early and nurtured through years of training and competition. Jessie spent over a decade competing in Latin and Ballroom dance, earning multiple titles and developing a strong foundation in performance, discipline, and stage presence.

Jessie was first introduced to Miss Di, the founder of Burlesquercise, and her husband Martin at the age of 12. Under their coaching and guidance, she developed a strong foundation in dance and performance. That formative experience sparked a lasting connection, with Di becoming a deeply influential mentor and ongoing source of inspiration throughout Jessie’s artistic journey.

In 2015, she took her first official Burlesquercise class—taught by her mom, naturally—and immediately connected with the mission of empowering women through movement, self-expression, and confidence-building. The blend of dynamic choreography, expressive costumes, and a supportive, all-inclusive community deeply resonated with her.

Today, Jessie continues to lead with heart, creativity, and a contagious enthusiasm that fills every room she enters. Known for her warm personality, quick wit, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, she brings a unique blend of professionalism and playful energy to everything she does. It was through Burlesquercise that she met her business partner and fellow director, Triston Scott—proof that dance brings people together in the best possible ways.

When she’s not teaching, choreographing, or performing, Jessie can be found traveling with her husband Jonah (wine glass in hand), spending time with friends & family, or enjoying the company of her fur babies. She believes in the power of laughter, community, and movement—and is endlessly grateful to be doing work that brings all three together.

In addition to their partnership in Burlesquercise, Jessie brings a diverse background in business and management. She works part-time alongside Triston at her mortgage brokerage, contributing her organizational and client service expertise. Jessie also serves as the General Manager of The Cuff N’ Billy, where she oversees operations and event coordination. Together with her husband, Jonah Thurrell, she co-owns and operates J&J Painting—a thriving residential and commercial painting company known for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
