Miss Triston

Director & Instructor

Triston Scott, Co-Owner and Director of Burlesquercise, has always been drawn to the rhythm of music and the freedom of movement. Born and raised in Saskatoon, she began dancing competitively in jazz, tap, and ballet at the age of seven, spending every moment she could at the studio. After a family move to Calgary, Triston took an unexpected 20-year break from dance—until she discovered Burlesquercise in 2010. It was a serendipitous moment that reignited her passion and came at just the right time in her life.

She quickly became immersed in the Burlesquercise community, signing up for every class available and embracing new styles and techniques with enthusiasm. Her dance journey expanded to include amateur Latin training under the guidance of Di and Martin Lefebvre. While she loves the creativity of performance choreography, Triston finds just as much joy in non-performance technique classes and the freedom of movement in “Just Dance.” Dance has been a source of light and healing through life’s more challenging seasons—and she often says that dancing in Miss Kim’s class (Jessie’s mom) helped mend many broken hearts.

Triston believes deeply in the healing power of movement and the strength found in a community of supportive women. She is profoundly grateful for the friendships, connection, and sisterhood that Burlesquercise has brought into her life. With the continued support of her dance family—and her business partner Jessie—she is honoured to help carry forward the legacy of Burlesquercise founder Miss Di.

In addition to her role at Burlesquercise, Triston is a partner at Mortgage Connection, the largest mortgage brokerage in Alberta, where she has built a successful career in the industry since 2003. In 2022, she brought Jessie into the business in a part-time role—an important step that laid the foundation for their future collaboration with Burlesquercise.

Triston’s greatest joy comes from time spent with her husband, Robert, and their son, William. As a family, they love to travel and are always on the go with sports and activities.

Triston is passionate about helping women reconnect with themselves through dance, discover the joy of movement, and find the courage to try something new—at any age and any stage.
