Miss Leslie

Instructor

Leslie Finch is a dynamic force of nature and a beloved pillar of the Burlesquercise Instructress Team since 2008. Known for her infectious energy and unapologetic flair, Leslie brings a powerful mix of technical training, theatrical spirit, and pure joy to every class she leads.

Her dance journey began at age 12, but by 16 she was fully immersed in the world of competitive Ballroom dance at the iconic Miss Di’s studio. Her passion for movement and performance propelled her into the national Dancesport scene, where she proudly represented the Latin division in competitions across Canada.

Leslie’s versatility is one of her greatest strengths. In addition to her ballroom foundation, she has trained extensively in Hip Hop, Jazz, Heels, and of course, Burlesque. As a choreographer, she’s celebrated for her bold creativity, musicality, and the ability to craft routines that are as empowering as they are unforgettable.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, Leslie is known for her rare gift of connecting with dancers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Her students return again and again for her signature blend of fierce motivation, high-octane energy, and fearless encouragement. As they often say: “I need a mojo boost and my butt kicked—so I signed up for Miss Leslie’s class.”

You’ll often hear her voice ringing across the studio with her trademark rally cry:“Yes, girls! You can do it… now do it again!”

Off the dance floor, Leslie is a true showbiz soul—she lives for rhinestones, costumes, glitter, and claw-like nails. But she’s also full of surprises. Fun facts? Leslie is a proud reptile mom, a Scotch enthusiast, a plant lover, and a firm believer in the healing power of dance—and laughter.
